GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO NEWS - Cedric Yantolo, George sub-district manager of EMS Ambulance Services, said the Covid-19 jab did not hurt and about half an hour after being vaccinated he was feeling fine.
Vaccination started at George Hospital this morning. The hospital is the only registered vaccination site in the district.
Healthcare workers are monitored for 15 to 30 minutes after vaccination.
The vaccines for the Sisonke trial are being stored at TASK Eden, a clinical research centre in George.
Prof Andreas Diacon from TASK Eden is the principal investigator for the trials in the Garden Route district, according to the CEO, Melissa Mitchell.
