GEORGE NEWS - George Hospital staff embraced the idea of Pink Friday on 2 October as part of their annual breast cancer awareness campaign.
Staff and patients learned more about early detection and a healthy lifestyle and diet to reduce the risk of cancer.
Staff at the oncology unit shared recipes of delicious vegetable and fruit smoothies while Dr Ian de Waal, medical officer at the unit, explained why early detection betters the chances for a good outcome.
