GEORGE NUUS EN VIDEO'S - Fix die hond wat saam met Johan du Preez op straat woon gaan tydens die inperkingstyd by die DBV woon.
Die DBV gaan hom vir die tydperk huisves. Du Preez het vanmiddag daartoe ingestem.
Hy gaan probeer om self 'n blyplek te kry sodat hy binnenshuis in die tydperk kan woon.
Du Preez kon nie by 'n skuiling gaan woon omdat hy nie Fix saam daarheen kon neem.
Du Preez was vol vertroue dat hy self geholpe sal raak. Hy was baie bly dat Fix nou veilig is vir die inperkingstyd en geholpe is.
As die inperking verby is, gaan hy Fix weer haal.
Die George Herald het vroeër vandag op Facebook berig oor Du Preez en Fix se situasie. Wye reaksie is van lesers ontvang wat hulp aangebied het.
Sean Snyman van die George stadsraad het dit op GH Facebook geskryf:
"Good afternoon, the department Community and Social Development is in the process of doing what is necessary for the homeless, however everybody needs to be screened, which is where the problem is currently. Everything is being addressed just bare in mind this is not an easy situation and to get the necessary equipment and resources is a challenge."
En verder rakende Du Preez:
"I have requested that special allowance be made to accommodate him at the Rosemoor Stadium but he needs to be screened first so please, I understand that people want to help, but let us be responsible about this please. There is a plan and I will try everything to assist him within the avenues which are laid out"
