GEORGE NEWS - The George Municipality's Directorate of Human Settlements started upgrading one of its properties, Davidson Court flats, a few years ago.
The flats have been renovated in batches to minimise disruption to the tenants.
Mayor Leon van Wyk and Portfolio Councillor for Human Settlements Bazil Petrus visited Davidson Court to see how the upgrading of the units are coming along.
The project comprises of the internal renovation of eight units with new floor tiles, new built-in kitchen, bedroom cupboards, bathroom showers, electrical lights, fittings and plugs, new doors, ceilings and the painting of internal walls.
The work has been undertaken by an SMME contractor, Agate and Beryl Trading/ Rock Solution.
