GEORGE NEWS - George Correctional Services (DCS) officially opened their very own Covid-19 isolation area this morning, 21 July.
The new facility currently has 33 beds available and will be used for inmates who show symptoms of the virus.
"We all have to play our role fighting the virus. We all have obligations," said Western Cape regional commissioner Delekile Klaas during the opening function.
"Today we are opening an isolation area in George and for that I thank all our colleagues at this facility. We have to make sure that offenders affected by the virus get good medical care."
