GEORGE NEWS - The recently renovated Conville Library is now operational and boasts a bigger and better facility for the community.

Rachel Williams, Manager: George Libraries said, "The library offers recreational reading material, reference material, internet connectivity, audio-visual material (CDs, DVDs etc.), games for children, current awareness programmes as well as notice and display boards."

The library is a social hub that provides a welcome, safe and inclusive environment to the different communities that are making use of it, Williams said.

The new Conville library furthermore provides a beautiful, light-filtered study and activity area as well as a community hall. This modern, spacious building, with state-of-the art equipment, has been in operation since last week.

The operating hours are 09:00 - 17:30 during the week. On Saturdays, it is open 09:00 - 12:00. The public can contact Conville Library on 044 801 9320 or e-mail: conbib@george.org.za for more information.
