GEORGE NEWS - The police have opened an inquest docket after a partially decomposed body was found at Leentjiesklip Beach on Sunday 8 December.
The body is believed to be that of Mtshamela Zibenathi (11) from Thembalethu, who disappeared in the water at Victoria Bay last Tuesday while visiting the beach with friends.
According to George police communications officer, Capt Nolonwabo Tshengu, the body has not been identified as it is at an advanced stage of decomposition.
"At this stage we are awaiting the DNA results before we can confirm the identity of the deceased," she said.
