GEORGE NEWS - Lorraine Kolarick will talk about her trip to Nepal at U3A's Armchair Travel meeting on Tuesday 12 November.
Officially the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, the country is landlocked amongst the Himalaya Mountains in South Asia.
The talk starts at 10:30 at Emmaüs in Memorium Street.
Collapse of World Trade Centre
On Friday 15 November, David Scott will give a lecture entitled "Collapse of the World Trade Centre". The complete destruction of this massive building on 11 September 2001 shocked the world.
Scott will be covering this event thoroughly, including the history, the attacks and the nature of the impact.
Scott grew up in the Karoo and holds degrees in chemistry and geology from Rhodes University.
Tea will be at 10:00 and the talk starts at 10:30.
