GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Géla le Roux, George's very own Mrs South Africa finalist 2017, has a strong sentimental tie to the Cansa Irma Bruschi Care Home in 103 Merriman Street. It was her childhood family home.
"This house brings back so many sentimental recollections of my early life. Looking back, who could ever have dreamt that one day my room would house cancer survivors undergoing treatment, some fighting for their lives, under the supervision of a wonderful organisation like Cansa?" she says.
Géla, the brand ambassador for Fancourt, is hosting a Cansa fundraiser at Fancourt on Friday 8 September in her journey to try and lift another crown for the Garden Route, by celebrating all things #PureGold. Nianell, acclaimed singer, pianist, guitarist and composer has donated her time to perform at Géla's Cansa fundraiser.
"I am making a passionate appeal to businesses and individuals to buy a table and support my Cansa charity event so that the fond memories of my childhood home can continue to be a haven of support and comfort for those living with cancer and their loved ones," says Géla. "Cash donations for such a worthy cause prior to the event are welcome as well as future sponsors that would like to travel my journey with me."
To book for the event, contact Reservations at Fancourt on 044 804 0010 and stand a chance of winning great prizes in the raffle.
