Deputy Nursing Manager at Mediclinic George & Geneva, Celesté Louw, said the current surge of Covid cases in the Garden Route poses specific challenges to expecting parents.
“Covid tests must be done and visiting times are restricted,” said Louw. “The obstetric team at Mediclinic George under the leadership of Unit Manager, Esther Lategan, is fortunately highly skilled and experienced to navigate these challenges and provide a positive birth experience to every parent.”
The Western Cape Government Health congratulates all the parents on the safe delivery of the new arrivals on New Year’s Day. “We also extend a sincere thank you to all our staff members, including midwives, for their hard work and dedication on this special day,” said spokesperson Nadia Ferreira.
