GEORGE NEWS - Three suspects - aged 16, 17 and 19 - are scheduled to appear in the George Magistrate's Court on Tuesday 30 March following their arrests in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 28 March.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, Pacaltsdorp police were dispatched to Caine Street, Rosedale, at approximately 04:40 where they found the body of Werner Morris (in his mid thirties) on the side of the road.
"The deceased was found with a stab wound to the left side of his back," said Pojie.
Following up on information from eyewitnesses, they arrested the three suspects at their residences in Rosedale shortly after the incident.
According to Pojie, it is believed that the deceased robbed one of the suspects earlier this morning, prior to the altercation that followed.
"They apparently went to look for the deceased where after they found him in Genesis Street where the altercation started and the deceased sustained a stab wound to his back," he said.
