GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - George Mayor Jackie von Brandis, councillors and representatives of the police, traffic, law enforcement and community safety directorates are currently conducting a Mayoral Roadblock in CJ Langenhoven Street on the outskirts of George. 

The main aim is to welcome visitors to George with a friendly smile, handshake and goody bag. 

The roadblock will end at 14:00.

Henco du Plessis, a farmer from Kareedouw, is surprised with a goody bag by Mayor Jackie von Brandis. "Eat your chops!" Says this sheep farmer with a smile.
