GEORGE NEWS - The Pacaltsdorp Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 16-year-old boy was discovered in Voëlnesvaringslot, New Dawn Park, on Sunday morning, 27 April.
According to the police, they arrived on the scene at about 02:20 to find the body with injuries to the neck and chest.
Medical personnel declared the boy dead on the scene.
A 23-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were arrested shortly afterwards in connection with this murder. The police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
The two suspects were expected to appear in the George Magistrate's Court this week. At the time of going to press, details about this appearance had been unavailable.
The motive for the incident is still unknown.
A provincial police spokesperson, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, said all possibilities are being investigated and further details are expected to emerge once the investigation is complete.
