GEORGE NEWS - Two suspects, aged 23 and 43, were arrested in connection with the robbery at Texas Grill that took place on Saturday night, 25 May.
They made their first court appearance on Monday 3 June where the matter was postponed until Monday 10 June for their formal bail application.
They remain in custody.
Four armed men, of whom two were carrying firearms, entered the restaurant from the back entrance in Doneraile Square shortly after closing time at around 23:00 and threatened the staff members before emptying all the safes and locking the staff in an office at the back of the building.
The robbers fled in an unknown vehicle with a substantial amount of money.
The identities of the accused are being withheld as it is believed that more suspects are still at large.
