GEORGE NEWS - A man was stabbed to death in Hoekwil on Friday evening, 14 February.
According to a provincial police media liaison officer, Sergeant Wesley Twigg, George police registered a murder case following a stabbing incident in Geelhout Lane, Hoekwil.
"A 30-year-old male was fatally stabbed. Police members responded to a complaint of a person who was stabbed and taken to the local hospital. The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to his body and was declared deceased at the hospital," says Twigg.
Information received by George Herald suggests that the victim and another man were allegedly involved in a fight at a local hangout in Wilderness earlier that night.
The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation. The suspect is yet to be arrested.
