GEORGE NEWS - Mediclinic Geneva will take part in the Vooma Covid-19 vaccination weekend of the Department of Health and B4SA. The vaccination centre will be open from 08:00 till 14:00 this Saturday, 13 November.
"We are appealing to our community to take up the opportunity to protect themselves before the expected fourth wave due later this year," says Kassie Karstens, hospital general manager of Mediclinic George and Geneva.
Any eligible person of 12 years and older, and both insured and uninsured people are welcome.
“If you have not received your second Pfizer dose, or if you have not yet been vaccinated, please visit our Mediclinic website and book a convenient time and date for vaccination at our hospital,” says Karstens.
An average of 100 people are vaccinated per day at Mediclinic Geneva from Tuesdays to Fridays and to date, just more than 23 000 vaccines have been administered at the hospital.
"We believe that by vaccinating, we can protect ourselves and our community, and dramatically reduce the risk for all, especially during the festive season. We encourage our community to act now, and reap the benefit as we look at the possibility of a more open community, while our health is better protected."
Remember to bring your ID book or birth certificate along.
