The centre held a breakfast recently to thank sponsors for their support.
This is the first fully accredited centre for the training of tradesmen and women in the southern regions of South Africa. It is a branch of Africa Skills Village. The managing director of Africa Skills Village, Ms Elsie Harmse, said all the trade tests are in full accordance with the Department of Higher Teachers Education.
Successful candidates acquire practical training as well as a certificate from the Services Seta.
Since the Eden Centre opened in January, training has already been supplied to a large number of apprentices in welding, electrical training, plumbing, bricklaying and carpentry.
