GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - The 5th Thousand Sensations Fancourt Craft Liquor, Food and Music Festival will be hosted at the luxurious Fancourt Estate Bramble Hill, a landmark for business, leisure and golfing travel.
Thousand Sensations and Fancourt partnered to host this popular event on 21 and 22 September.
Attendees of the 2018 Thousand Sensations Fancourt Craft Liquor, Food and Music Festival can expect no less than 35 craft beer breweries; 10 craft artisanal distilleries; three wine cellars; 12 food stalls, 1 liqueur stand and even craft drinks for non-alcoholic users! All of this can be enjoyed at leisure in a combined tented area of more than 1 700m².
A line-up of 12 artists will ensure that festival-goers rock to 18 hours of music. Add to this ample and safe parking, a picturesque setting at the foot of the Outeniqua mountain, and public transport (GO GEORGE), and you have a winning recipe!
Organiser of the event, Alewijn Dippenaar, said, "We use the term "Craft Liquor" to include craft beer as the focus, but complemented with craft gin, brandy, whiskey, rum and liqueur. And don't forget the organic wines and garagistes!
"The main objective was to consolidate the festival under one 'roof' - even if it is a tented roof. The growth of the festival over the past four years required a much bigger venue. We are grateful to Wilderness for helping us to grow the festival to one of the 'must attend' craft beer festivals in South Africa."
The pre-event craft beer and food pairing was back by popular demand. Pairings were held at the Views Boutique Hotel in Wilderness, 101 Meade Restaurant in George and Turnberry Boutique Hotel in Oudtshoorn.
The festival will be hosted on Friday 21 September from 15:00 to 22:00 and Saturday 22 September from 11:00 to 22:00. Tickets, at R80 per person and R140 for weekend tickets, include a 100ml and 340ml glass. Kids u.18 are R40 and kids u.12 enter free.
Tickets can also be booked online at www.ticketrush.co.za.
