The annual fundraiser is set to attract over 10 000 people with its wide range of fun-filled events to keep the entire family involved.
At 17:00 on Friday evening the flagship event, the "George Herald Run with the Stars" night run, will commence. This stunning 10km route through Loerie Park and Eden neighbourhoods is not to be missed. If the 10km is a little overwhelming for you, there will also be a 3km fun run/walk offering loads of prizes to those dressed to the theme "Space Race".
Pre-entries are open at www.edenxperience.co.za.
Get to Glenwood House School bright and early on Saturday morning for the Sportsman's Warehouse Trail Run at 08:00. You can choose between the 18km route and the 9km route, both winding through picturesque private forests and farmlands. For our trail runners who are still starting out, there will also be a 5km route on offer. Don't forget to pre-enter at www.edenxperience.co.za.
This includes automatic entry into the Pentravel Holiday Competition. This lucky draw gives you the chance to win a 7-night Phuket holiday for two adults and one child. It includes flights from Johannesburg, 4-star accommodation, airport taxes, return transfers and daily breakfasts, all proudly sponsored by Pentravel. You can also enter at the Pentravel stall on Saturday.
The inaugural Xtreme Waterpolo tournament will be in full swing from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon at Glenwood House School's aquatic centre. The tournament is set to showcase an action-packed weekend of sportsmanship.
Glenwood House School will also host over 600 preparatory participants in the annual Hockey Festival. The event draws competitors from the Western, Eastern and Southern Cape and promises to show some high-intensity action throughout the weekend.
Friday night will showcase some of the best local entertainment to help ease you into your evening. There will be great food stalls keeping you full and energised for all your planned events.
For the young and young at heart there will be a Kids Fun Park promising loads of fun and laughter throughout the festival. There will also be a Toddler Dash on Friday night to ensure that even our little attendees get their share of the competitive fun.
This year sees the addition of a local tourism expo on the Saturday afternoon. The expo aims to share some of the wonders that the beautiful paradise of the Garden Route has to offer. Glenwood House School is grateful to our two main sponsors, Oakhurst Insurance and George Herald, and the extensive support they provide to make this event possible. In recognition of their roles in the success of the EdenXperience, a portion of all proceeds is handed to Oakhurst Insurance and George Herald in support of their many charity causes.
The festival also supports Glenwood House School's efforts to diminish our carbon footprint, by reducing, reusing and recycling waste wherever possible.
