Based in the heart of George’s CBD, on the premises of the old Meade House Emporium on the corner of Meade and Doneraile Streets, owners Lizelle and Rudolf Stolze believe their eatery will create a sense of community over a delicious plate of food, whether it be friends meeting or business people using this unique location for work commitments.
Meade Café has a different, fresh approach to food which clients will see on the daily blackboard specials, the quick, "serve yourself" luncheon table between 12:00 and 14:00, or whilst creating your own sandwich from the fresh variety of ingredients on offer.
The menu also includes Lizelle’s favourite: delicious all day breakfast options for those of us who enjoy Eggs Benedict all day.
You will certainly also not overlook the delectable cakes or speciality teas and Italian coffee that is on offer, all served by friendly and helpful staff members who have been specially picked and trained by Lizelle and Rudolf.
The fully revamped Café venue houses a conservatory with enclosed garden, separate private dining room for up to 16 people, wi-fi areas, and an indoors children’s play area.
The Stolzes, who retain their internationally renowned restaurant Serendipity in Wilderness, have paid close detail to every aspect of their local clients’ dining experience, even to the handcarved chairs and specially designed tables, to ensure all their clients feel welcome and comfortable at Meade Café.
Meade Café is open Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:30, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00, with ample parking available in Doneraile Square.
