GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Professor Thuli Madonsela was the star attraction at the fascinating Old Mutual Investment Insights Roadshow hosted at Fancourt in George yesterday, Wednesday 21 February.

Madonsela shared the leadership lessons she learnt during her tenure as public protector and stressed that the old adage "the end justifies the means" no longer holds water. She said companies that wish to survive in the modern era, need to subscribe to the sustainable development goals of the UN Global Compact.
Another illustrious guest speaker was Dr Adriana Marais, South Africa's own Mars One Astronaut finalist, who captivated the audience with her interplanetary insights.
Siboniso Nxumalo, joint boutique head of Old Mutual Global Emerging Markets, proved that emerging markets are increasingly lucrative investment options, while Old Mutual Macro Solutions Strategist Rian le Roux cautioned against over-optimism in the post-Zuma era. He said the tide is turning, but it will be at a slow pace.
The other speakers were Fred Liebenberg, head of fund specialists at Old Mutual business development; Elize Botha, managing director of Old Mutual unit trusts and Arthur Karas, portfolio manager of Old Mutual macro solutions.
