GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - The excellence in customer service that Tiger Wheel & Tyre George constantly strives for, has created a loyal client base over the past 20 years, and wins them award after award.
Tiger Wheel & Tyre George recently won the 2017 'Top Store Overall Tiger Way' title out of 125 South African and African stores. It is the seventh time that they bring home this prestigious title. "We are absolutely delighted. The winner of this title is determined by means of mystery callers and mystery shoppers who contact and visit the franchises to 'test' their service delivery, so it is genuinely how we are perceived," says Sandra van Rensburg, who owns the business together with her husband Nico.
They also won the Top Nett Promotor Store (Franchise Store) and the Highest Compliment Franchise Store awards, both of which are determined by feedback from clients. On top of this, at the Tiger Wheel & Tyre 2018 national Accelerate Conference, George received the 'Vibe' award for the franchise with the best attitude.
These awards are a wonderful encouragement at a difficult time for the Van Rensburg family. Nico was diagnosed with a form of leukaemia three years ago and has been on treatment since then. Last year, Sandra's mom passed away. "It is so amazing that we got these awards now. We have to thank our staff who, under the brilliant leadership of Adell du Plessis, have been superb in keeping the ball rolling in a time that Nico has had to adapt his pace because of his health. They have tiger blood in their veins. Adell has been with us for 19 years."
Tiger Wheel & Tyre is celebrating two decades this year. "We ascribe our success to putting God first in our lives and business. I think excellence in client service is not just something you try to get right. It is an outlook on life, a lifestyle. I think the synergy between Nico and me also has a positive impact."
Sandra and Nico have immense appreciation for their loyal clients, many who have been supporting the business since it opened in George in 1998. "Some of our clients used to come to us with their parents as children, and now have their own cars and own children," says Sandra.
Nico adds, "We are in tyres, but actually we are in people. We do not just take your money and off you go. For us, second best is just not good enough."
