GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS AND VIDEO - Exciting times lie ahead for Houtbosch Wines and Craft Beer, starting this month with a monthly live entertainment event at their tasting rooms at Redberry Farm. A new menu will also be unveiled from the beginning of April.
Houtbosch Wines and Craft Beer has come a long way.
The founder, Kevin Floyd, was the guitarist of the band DORP and got to tour the world during the 13 years he spent in the UK as a signed musician.
Houtbosch is proudly local with its grapes coming from Waboomskraal, but a desire to bring the wine to the people led them to open their tasting rooms at the Redberry Farm.
In its first year of production, Houtbosch has already won a Vitis Vinifera Gold award for their flagship Pinot Noir, and their Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir have received 4-star Platter awards.
Floyd will perform at the first live entertainment event on Saturday 30 March at 17:00. The new menu will sport a biltong and wine pairing as well as a cheese fondue. Customers will also be able to taste three Houtbosch sauces that were developed with the help of the well-known chef, François Ferreira. And if you like them, you can buy one to take home!
With winter on the horizon Houtbosch Wines and Craft beer is planning a craft soup and wine pairing. "We believe in giving a unique experience in the tasting room, especially for local people," says Floyd.
Houtbosch is popular with young and old and they offer pensioners a special discount on Tuesdays.
Houtbosch Wines is the perfect venue for corporate functions, private functions, birthdays and wedding parties.
