The original business, Just Water, was sold to Etienne and Christine Maree during 2008 and they have expanded the well-known product range to include new cold drink flavours and an exciting children’s range of flavoured water (Cool Kids range). They have also upgraded the water plant to include ozonation of the water and state-of-the-art equipment has been added to the plant to ensure top quality water.
The whole factory team received training during 2009 to ensure that all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles are maintained which are necessary for production in a food factory.
All departments within the plant received training on hygiene awareness and Just Water and Bottle Factory is proud that the bottling of their water is done with utmost care to ensure food safety.
This business also has another division where the customer (households or small businesses) rents the water dispenser from them from as little as R230 per month (contract is signed for 24 months where after the dispenser becomes the property of the customer). Included in this monthly R230 a total of 20 gallons (almost 80 litres) of Just Water and Bottle Factory is delivered to the customer’s house or business.
There are many models available in various colours depending on the taste and preference of the customer.
The customer also has a choice between a cold and hot water tap, cold and normal tap, or a cooler with a built-in fridge which makes it ideal for office use.
The feedback that they get from their customers is that their families drink so much more healthy water because it is always handy ‘on tap’, spill-free and at a nice temperature. Also the fact that they deliver the four large bottles of Just Water and Bottle Factory each month makes it so much easier for the lady of the house who always had to fill her trolley with heavy water bottles.
Just Water and Bottle Factory not only bottles water, but they also blow plastic PET bottles for their business as well as for the wine and juice industries.
Just Water and Bottle Factory is based in George as head-office of the business’s branches nationwide. They also host branches in Cape Town and Jeffrey’s Bay/Port Elisabeth, and will be opening new franchises in Richard’s Bay, Durban, Bloemfontein, Centurion and Johannesburg soon. They have expanded their product to a franchise concept that not only sells franchises in the rest of the country but also up into the rest of Africa.
