GEORGE NEWS - The Administrative Packhouse Admin Clerk is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the packhouse operations team.
They will assist in coordinating activities related to packing and shipping of products, maintaining documentation, and ensuring smooth communication and coordination
within the packhouse.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage accurate production records, inventory reports, and other relevant documentation relating to packhouse operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transporters to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging supplies to the packhouse.
- Assist in tracking and maintaining stock levels of packaging materials, ensuring availability for ongoing production.
- Handle data entry tasks, including updating stock records, inventory control systems, and product tracking systems.
- Generate and distribute relevant reports and records as required by management.
- Coordinate with other internal departments, such as logistics, quality control, and purchasing, to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution of tasks.
- Respond to inquiries and solve problems related to packhouse operations, escalating more complex issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised office space, ensuring all necessary documents and supplies are readily available.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and suggest solutions to enhance packhouse efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in training new employees and ensure adherence to packhouse protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with relevant regulations in all packhouse activities.
- Support packhouse supervisors and managers with any additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in a packhouse or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of packhouse operations, supply chain management, and inventory control is advantageous.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and practices.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends, especially during peak season.
