CRICKET NEWS - The Garden Route Badgers Colts will host the Western Province this weekend, 6 to 7 December, in the Cricket SA Provincial Colts competition.

The matches (three-day: from Thursday to Saturday, and one-day: Sunday) will be played at the Rec Cricket Stadium in Oudtshoorn.

The home side will be full of confidence after their recent impressive victory in the three-day competition against Eastern Province at St George's Park in Gqeberha.

The Badgers will have several professional players available in preparation for the all-important fixture in the CSA four-day competition against the Eastern Cape Iinyathi later this month.

The Badgers squad for the weekend are:

Breyton Plaatjies, Kurt Botha, Pheko Moletsane, Benni Hansen, Heath Richards, Jonathan Bester, Enathi Kitshini, Jade Richter, Elih Thorne (captain), Zack Momberg, Sintu Majiza, Reagon Rhode, Grant Esau, Liyabona Malife and Mondli Ngobesi.
