GEORGE NEWS - GE Packhouse is seeking an experienced Administrative Manager to oversee the operations and administrative functions of our packhouse.
The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the packhouse by managing administrative tasks, coordinating logistics, and supervising staff to meet production targets.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day administrative operations in the packhouse, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate logistics and schedules for the efficient handling and packaging of products.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products.
- Supervise and train administrative staff, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and efficient performance.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry, record-keeping, and reporting to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and quality control, to ensure smooth operations and meet customer requirements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in packhouse operations.
- Monitor and evaluate packhouse performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to legal and regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in packhouse operations, recommending and implementing best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an administrative manager or similar role in a packhouse or manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of packhouse operations, logistics, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different departments.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to implement them effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
