BUSINESS NEWS - Through digital transformation in insurance, dotsure.co.za has reimagined what insurance can look like.
From paperless insurance and online insurance policies to smarter, more accessible cover. Beyond that, they’re committed to providing their world with Soft Landings, redefining what true impact means.
This February, dotsure.co.za is reminding South Africans that love means showing up for the communities we’re all part of. At dotsure.co.za, love in action means recognising that business support isn’t just charity. It’s community strengthening.
As a leader in technology-driven insurance, dotsure.co.za believes that business must benefit more than balance sheets. It must support people and pets, protect progress and strengthen communities.
“Non-profit organisations (NPOs) have deep community insight and trust, while businesses have scale and systems,” Chief Commercial Officer at dotsure.co.za, Glen Anderson, explains. “When those strengths come together, exponential impact is possible.”
The power of local NPOs
Local NPOs sit at the heart of community upliftment. They understand the nuances of those they serve and are often the first to respond where help is needed.
“For us, corporate social investment (CSI) isn’t a side project. It’s the foundation of how we choose to exist as a responsible corporate citizen,” says Anderson. “Modern businesses can’t afford to be distant observers. They need to be active participants in building the society they are part of and benefit from.”
Collaboration that creates change and real-world impact
By working closely with NPO partners, dotsure.co.za helps turn good intentions into actionable Soft Landings. Long-term commitments include a food relief programme, animal welfare support and mobility assistance – all strengthened by collaboration.
Over the past three years alone, dotsure.co.za has helped deliver over:
- R1 million towards animal welfare, including preventative animal welfare programmes in collaboration with the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL), the Garden Route SPCA, and veterinary practices,
- R2 million in support of the SA Guide-Dogs Association,
- Six million meals through food relief initiatives.
These numbers reflect more than donations. They represent a genuine commitment to invest in communities through long-term partnerships.
Tech with a conscience: Small actions with big ripple effects
A common misconception is that social impact requires scale. In reality, consistency matters more. “Many NPOs are built on the power of small, consistent acts of support,” says Anderson. “When businesses underestimate their ability to help, they miss the ripple effect they can create.”
The dotsure.co.za case challenges South African businesses to rethink CSI; not as charity, but as community strengthening. Because when business ambition is paired with empathy, and innovation is driven by purpose, the impact reaches far beyond the bottom line.
