BUSINESS NEWS - Many Georgians have been looking forward to visiting the Glow Fest this coming weekend, with its amazing range of illuminated exhibits and fun activities.
However, soggy conditions have posed big challenges in setting up the many elements of the exhibit and, taking into account the weather forecast for the rest of the week, organisers reluctantly decided to postpone the event.
Here is their official announcement:
Important Announcement
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the community of George for their steadfast support of the Glow Festival George 2025.
While preparing for the event, we have unfortunately encountered some challenges with the weather. Over the past few days, rain has been persistent, and today we realised that our entire set-up plan has been significantly disrupted.
This morning, our forklift became stuck in the mud, hindering our progress. If this weather pattern continues into the weekend as indicated on various weather check platforms, it could pose safety risks for our attendees. We have received numerous calls from ticket holders sharing similar concerns.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the event until October and November 2025. The silver lining is that when the Glow Festival returns, it will also be visiting neighbouring towns, including Knysna, Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn. We will share the new dates shortly.
All ticket holders will receive a full refund, and we are currently processing these refunds.
We eagerly anticipate seeing everyone soon.
