BUSINESS NEWS - At the advent of 2020, JEDA Foundation President Quinton Johnson and Philanthropist Fred de Kok, Chairman of the Cape Estates Group, agreed to develop a new Futuristic Education Campus in the Southern Cape.
To activate this dynamic initiative, a Futuristic Education Learning Centre has been established on the foundation of the JEDA Programmes, which has been accredited by the South African Council of Educators (SACE) for many years now, and benefitted hundreds of learners and teachers in the Southern Cape.
This work in education is essential if we are to successfully navigate the digital revolution of artificial intelligence, robotics, coding, big data, automation, fabrication and well as virtual reality, in order to develop socially and prosper economically.
Now a historic and exciting agreement with the Cornerstone Institute, which is a 50 year-old, government-approved Private Higher Education Institution, has granted the Futuristic Education Learning Centre accreditation, in its quest to provide support to students with new online degrees and certificates from 2021.
The arrangement will see students taking online qualifications from the Cornerstone Institute, whilst receiving academic support through scholarship, counselling, skills, career, technology and wellness services from the Futuristic Education Learning Centre, based in George.
A trilogy of online B.Com degrees anchored in Business Management, with Software Development, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence will be offered over time, in keeping with our desire to ensure that students are educated for 4th industrial revolution competitiveness and beyond.
In addition, students will also have access to online Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Alternative Education and Theology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Higher Certificate in Business Leadership. Furthermore, qualifying students may access bursary and scholarship support for their Programmes.
Online applications for students from the Southern Cape, who wish to register for qualifications at the Cornerstone Institute, are now open at www.cornerstone.ac.za until 11 January 2021.
