BUSINESS NEWS - Most of us love to drink wine. But, in conversation, most of us go glassy-eyed when words like "vintage", "varietal", "wine of origin" and "bouquet" come up. Nowadays wine lovers prefer less talk and more interactive experiences.
Still, it's a simple fact of life that the more you understand something, the more you will appreciate it.
Just think – the more you understand about the wine, the better you can experience and enjoy the almost limitless feast it provides for the senses.
While tasting all the varieties of a producer at one show makes for a very happy individual, it blunts and confuses the senses rather than heightens it.
Can a match be made between the mind and the senses?
"Yes," say the organisers of the Wine & Whatever Experience, proudly supported by Vodacom. "It is a match made in wine heaven!" At the Wine & Whatever Experience you will be able to explore, in depth, a single cultivar from multiple producers at each of three events. You will also have more meaningful interaction with the producers, learning what factors influence the individual flavour of their cultivars.
