BUSINESS NEWS - It is with great sadness that the owner of Raffaele D'Amato Jewellers, a landmark business in the CBD for the last 62 years, had to make the decision to move the town branch to amalgamate with their branch in the Garden Route Mall.
The branch in the Garden Route Mall has been trading for the last 12 years.
"We believe that this move will be of great benefit to our clients from a security and parking point of view," says owner Michél Nunes.
"We would like to assure our clients that nothing has changed and that they can expect the same service ethics we are known for, with all our well-known staff in attendance. The same well-known faces that our customers have come to trust will be in the mall too."
Nunes is one of South Africa's leading jewellery designers and is a fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. He also formerly served on the board of the South African Jewellery Council. He recently became an accredited Canadian Jeweller's Association graduate.
The design team at Raffaele D'Amato Jewellers creates stylish, unique designs. Individual design portfolios are created to meet the customer's needs, from wedding and engagement rings to extravagant exhibition pieces. Each piece is lovingly crafted by hand on the premises.
Nunes's grandfather, Raffaele D'Amato, started the business in 1957 together with his stepson, Deryck Nunes, Michél Nunes's late father.
