GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - François Ferreira Academy hosted the George Business Chamber's monthly network evening on Thursday 30 May.

It was not only an opportunity for George's business people to renew ties, but also for the academy to proudly display the premises at Mount View resort that they moved into last year.

A few short speeches, the handing over of awards and lucky draws were made short work of before François himself took the microphone to chat about the academy's many offerings.

The students then came "on stage", presenting a new phenomenon in the culinary world - a live plating.

The dessert for the evening was artfully arranged on the serving table, to the tune of catchy music and dance moves; a highly entertaining show.

The guests then enjoyed a variety of food prepared by the academy's students.

Live plating: circles of chocolate mousse are added to the initial design.
