GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - After running their own businesses for many years, expanding families and facing Covid-19, a vision has finally become reality for four of the best in the local beauty and aesthetics industry.
Registered nurse (RN) Christine Keller, owner of Skinstitute, and Dr Nicola du Toit have joined hands with Michelle Theron of Beula Beauty House and Yozeldé Nel, owner of Michelangelo Hair Academy, Dry Bar and Salon and are excited to announce that from 1 March they will be working under one roof, operating their own businesses from the new Harvil House in York Street.
Skinstitute and Dr Nicola du Toit Inc
Seven years ago RN Christine started Skinstitute in Arbor Road. However, as the demand and need for medical aesthetic procedures grew, she knew she had to incorporate a doctor.
"Nicola and I immediately clicked and have now successfully been working and growing together for three years. Through our differences we complement each other, and our vision and mission for women's health and aesthetic work are the same," she says.
Christine specialises in medical skincare procedures, treating acne, ageing, pigmentation and scars as well as skin analysis and Plexr Plasma treatments. She also does platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments, microneedling, chemical peels, mesotherapy and lipolytic injections.
All patients are guaranteed professional treatment regardless of their age or social stature. Screening for breast and cervical cancer and assistance with other health and mental concerns are also available.
"We want to be there to guide women on their skincare and anti-ageing journey and therefore believe your aesthetic, mental and physical health should be in balance," says Dr Nicola, who specialises in botox, fillers, threads, women's wellness, medilean / weight loss, sclerotherapy, DNA analysis, GP consultations, IV infusions, and excision biopsies of skin lesions.

Beula Beauty House
Owner Michelle Theron started Beula Beauty House eight years ago as a small business. Since then it has developed and evolved into a business with six staff members offering comprehensive services such as facials and chemical peels, body treatments, permanent and event make-up, manicures / pedicures, nail services, waxing and a wide variety of brow and lash treatments.
"We are excited about the move to Harvil House. This opens the door for new treatment opportunities and creates space for an even bigger team," says Michelle.
They also offer gift / monthly packages and function as a training location for lash extensions and microblading.
Michelangelo Hair Academy, Dry Bar and Salon
Yozeldé Nel, founder of Michelangelo Hair in Great Brak River, has been in the industry for more than 16 years. She has a passion for passing on her knowledge, educating and training people to teach them the finer skills.
"We are excited to come to George where our salon, academy and blow-dry bar promises to exceed all expectations. My ideal for the blow-dry bar is that clients' hair will be blow-dried and curled in 30 to 45 minutes.
"This will be much more cost-effective as clients can buy a bunch of blow-dries," she says.
Yozeldé will also continue offering her normal fashionable hair treatments to keep her clients up to date.
