GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - According to the South African Weather Service, a weak La-Nina event that has persisted through winter, is predicted to – in most areas - last throughout the remainder of 2022, after which a neutral ENSO state is likely. 

The seasonal forecast for the September-October-November (SON) season shows enhanced chances for above-normal rainfall over most of the summer rainfall areas. 

The rainfall outlook remains positive for the October-November-December (OND) and November-December-January (NDJ) seasons. 

Green (brown) shades indicate enhanced chances of above-normal (below-normal) rainfall.
