GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has announced a planned power outage that will affect Erf 325, Bethsaida Street, in a portion of Pacaltsdorp on Wednesday, 15 July, from 09:00 to 15:00.

The interruption is required to allow municipal teams to carry out alterations to the electrical mains.

Consumers are urged to treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the outage, as electricity supply may be restored at any time within the scheduled period.

Should unforeseen circumstances prevent the work from being completed as planned, the outage will be postponed to Thursday, 16 July, from 09:00 to 15:00.

Residents can report power outages, faulty streetlights and malfunctioning traffic lights during office hours (07:45–16:30) by calling 044 801 9222, 044 801 9202, 044 801 9258 or 044 803 9222.

Alternatively, residents can send a WhatsApp message to 067 553 1728 during office hours. Uniondale enquiries can be directed to 044 752 1024.

George Municipality apologised for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their patience and cooperation while the essential maintenance work is carried out.
