GEORGE NEWS - Montagu Village Development is undertaking the upgrading of Coenie Appel and Montagu Road intersectionas part of the approval conditions for the new Montagu Village Development.
The following roads will be impacted:
- Coenie Appel Street
- Montagu Road (no turning into or out of Coenie Appel will be possible)
Residents in Coenie Appel should make use of detour via Frylinck Street and Die Oupos Street.
Traffic impact:
- Construction will occur in full sections of the Coenie Appel road.
- Coenie Appel will be closed to traffic for max 2 days.
- On some of the roads, preparation activities have already started.
- Road users and pedestrians should exercise caution and consider alternative routes to avoid traffic disruptions.
- Please follow all temporary road signage and markings.
Work hours will be Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 18:00.
