Update
GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has confirmed that work is progressing on two parallel operations aimed at restoring water supply to Wilderness.
Temporary Supply Line (Akela Water Reservoir)
A temporary connection has been established, and municipal teams are currently installing the temporary pipeline. The work is expected to be completed by late this afternoon.
Investigation of Existing Pipeline
Technical teams continue to search for the blockage affecting the main supply line.
Efforts to locate and clear the obstruction will continue throughout the day.
The George municipality will provide further updates as soon as new information becomes available.
