Update
GEORGE NEWS - Work on the Wilderness water supply line has been stopped for the day due to safety risks on the steep, wet slopes.
The truck carrying the temporary pipeline components is delayed and will only arrive this evening.
Installation will proceed tomorrow morning in daylight, with the aim of restoring supply via the temporary pipe during the day while investigations continue.
Internal teams made good progress exposing sections of the pipeline, and leak-detection specialists will return tomorrow.
Water truck placements & schedule (Sunday):
- Stationed: Waves Garage (Fire Department truck)
- Roaming: Wilderness Heights (one truck)
Rotating truck schedule:
- 16:00–18:00: Bundu Supersave
- 18:00–20:00: Seven Passes & Whites Road
- 20:00–22:00: Bundu Supersave
Water trucks will resume at 07:00 tomorrow, Monday 24 November.
