GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality advises residents and landfill users that the landfill site will be open this morning.
Due to the bulldozer remaining out of operation, the site has limited available space. Staff are using smaller machinery to create and manage additional capacity.
Residents and landfill users are urged to follow the instructions of security personnel and landfill staff regarding where waste should be deposited.
Co-operation is essential to prevent waste from being dumped on access roads, which could result in the landfill site having to close again.
The municipality thanks residents for their patience, co-operation and understanding.
