GEORGE NEWS – George Municipality has advised residents of two separate service interruptions affecting Haarlem and parts of George on Tuesday, 14 July.

Haarlem water supply temporarily interrupted

The water supply to the Haarlem town area has been temporarily shut off after a contractor accidentally damaged a water pipeline.

Municipal repair teams are on site and working to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.

The estimated time of restoration is approximately two hours.

Power outage in Rosemore due to vandalism

An unplanned power outage is affecting Rosemore, Hick Street, Langmark Street and Beer Street following an incident of vandalism.

Technical teams are attending to the fault and are working to restore electricity safely and as quickly as possible.

The estimated time of restoration is 15:00.

George Municipality has apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked affected residents for their patience while repairs are completed.
