GEORGE NEWS - From Monday 6 October to Saturday 11 October, George Municipality will be undertaking remedial work on the south-easterly bound lane at the intersection (traffic circle) of CJ Langenhoven Road with Davidson Road, George.
Traffic congestion can be expected during construction.
Construction will take place on Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 18:00 and between 07:00 and 14:00 on Saturday.
There will be height differences between the lanes while construction work is in progress.
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians must exercise extreme caution, especially during wet conditions and when visibility is poor and at night. Vehicles with low profile tyres and motorcyclists must take extra care.
Traffic impact:
The affected section/lane of work for the day will be closed for traffic and motorists heading towards the CBD are requested to use Davidson Road as an alternative route.
Traffic will be accommodated to flow with the assistance of Flagmen throughout the project.
Consideration will be given to the peak traffic.
