Update - @15:57 - The George Landfill Site is now open to the public.

GEORGE NEWS - Further to the report yesterday, Tuesday 22 July, of the temporary closure of the landfill site, be advised that the landfill site will remain closed today.

George Municipality has let residents know that the collection of green bags will continue as normal.

The Municipality apologises for the inconvenience and thanks residents for their understanding.
