GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality regrets to inform residents that refuse removal scheduled for yesterday, 27 January, could not be completed due to adverse weather conditions. 

Heavy rain caused operational challenges, with only five trucks available, and employees unable to complete work due to being soaked and unsafe working conditions.

Refuse collection will resume today, with the Tuesday work schedule also being completed.

Affected Areas:

Blanco, Riverlea, Heatherpark, Heatherlands, Glen Barrie, Kraaibosch, Groenkloof, Blue Mountain Village, Herold’s Bay, Victoria Bay, Rondevlei area (George side), and businesses.
