The Trail Sentinel writes:
Some dog owners are still not leashing their dogs, and it's not the small ones that are unleashed, it's very huge dogs.
Also, there are some cyclists who have no respect for joggers and hikers; they come at high speeds behind you without even ringing a bell to alert you that they're coming towards you as to give a person ample time to make way for them to pass.
One only realises they are behind you when they are so close that you literally have to jump out of the way for them to pass, and some of them are even rude and swear at you because you caused them to drop their speed, which slowed them down.
This is a very unfair practice of both the dog owners and cyclists, as the gardens are for everyone to enjoy and make use of, and not only for a specific group of people.
By these practices of both the dog owners and cyclists, it makes it very unpleasant for one to enjoy the relaxation the garden brings to one after a long day at work.
What surprises me even more so is that a few months ago there was an article in George Herald regarding the concerns of some dog owners with their dogs in the gardens that are unleashed, so this clearly goes to show that they don't give a damn about what was published, because they still continue doing what pleases them.
