Guard of honour for George Hospital sister
Colleagues of the late Sister Stephanie Kiewiet formed a guard of honour in the parking area of the George Hospital this morning, Wednesday 19 August, when the Avbob hearse carrying her body passed by on its way to the George Cemetery where she was laid to rest. Kiewiet (50) passed away on Sunday 16 August. She is the first healthcare worker of the George Hospital and in the Garden Route district to have died of Covid-19. A guard of honour was also held at the entrance to the cemetery.
