GEORGE NEWS - The George Music Society has for many years organised the annual prestigious Young Musicians Competition for schoolgoing musicians. 

This year the auditions take place on Monday 9 September at the Dutch Reformed Mother Church where the entrants will be evaluated by two highly qualified adjudicators.

The finalists' gala evening, where the winners will be selected and the prize-giving ceremony held, will be on Friday 11 October.

The George Music Society is a registered non-profit organisation and would like to invite businesses, individuals or any organisation to get involved to make this worthy event an even bigger success.

Any schoolgoing music student may enter in this competition at only R75 per entry, or R40 per person for group entries. Entry forms are available here or youngmusicianscompetion@gmail.com or on 083 389 2775.

The closing date for all entries is this Friday, 16 August. Audition times will then be allocated and communicated to all entrants before Monday 9 September.
