ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The opening evening of the Summer Illume Art Exhibition on Friday 27 February, celebrated the creativity of the members of the South Cape Association for Visual Art (Scava) at the George Museum.
Garden Route Mayor Marais Kruger opened the exhibition, adding to the significance of an evening that truly celebrated the power of the arts in the community.
The exhibition features 201 artworks by 52 artists, filling the Sayer's Auditorium with a rich variety of styles, mediums and stories.
"An exciting highlight of Summer Illume is the strong presence of new members exhibiting for the first time with Scava, but also actually for the first time ever. Their participation reflects the growing energy within the Scava art community. We are a creative family that continues to expand, evolve and welcome new talent," said the chairperson, René Sciribante.
The exhibition runs until 16 April, and all artworks are for sale. For more information, send an email to [email protected].
