Penny de Villiers says this year they decided to let the animals tell the Christmas story. "What fun and what a blessing! Twenty-two children between three and 14 years-of-age from different churches took part in the show. We even had two toddlers who were transformed into a mouse and a baby lamb."
All the animals had a chance to tell their story, which included three camels, a donkey, butterflies, fireflies, sheep and piggies. "There was a police dog, an owl, a tiger plus King Lion who roared out the message of Jesus' birth.
The play was enhanced by the appearance of three angels and a dove who danced and sang their way to Bethlehem. The drama classes will start again next year. For more information contact Penny de Villiers at George Methodist Church.
