GEORGE NEWS - Usapho Indlu's Quiz Night on Saturday 24 February at 18:00 at the Earl's Court Clubhouse promises to be an evening of fun, testing your knowledge, and hearing about the great things that are happening in the local community.
Tickets are R300 and include a harvest table supper, the quiz and there will be an auction of fantastic prizes and experiences.
Georgians are invited to attend and in so doing support Unsapho Indlu's endeavour to reach their goal of buying a vehicle in 2024.
Usapho Indlu is a non-profit organisation (NPO) working in Thembalethu. CEO Sally Versveld invites, "By taking part, residents can be part of the change in our beautiful George community.
"We have a vision to assist households to undergo transformation by equipping and skilling families to become healthy, and sustainable members of their community."
To this purpose, a household is assessed and the family members themselves identify their greatest areas of concern and need.
They are then assisted to identify a pathway and are offered programmes that help them to journey out of poverty and unemployment.
"Households now have food gardens, attend ABCD lifeskills training, Bible study and the Education Centre for youth and children.
They learn to volunteer and assist each other in bringing transformation to their community.
As the work grows, there is a need for a vehicle and Usapho Indlu has embarked on a fund-raising drive to finance this need," says Versveld.
People who would like to attend the Quiz Night, may contact Diana on 076 308 7222 (WhatsApp) or info@usaphoindlu.org.za to reserve their tickets.
